CONCACAF World Cup Qualifier: Jamaica 0 Mexico 1

Mexico have leapt to the top of CONCACAF's World Cup qualifying fourth round standings with a 1-0 win away to Jamaica.
Aldo de Nigris scored his first international goal since May last year, nodding home Carlos Salcido's cross in the 48th minute, to hand Mexico victory at Independence Park in Kingston, Jamaica.

Tuesday's victory ensured Mexico, who had drawn their opening three matches in CONCACAF's fourth round of World Cup qualifying, moved to the top of the six-team pool with six points, while Jamaica remain bottom with two.

Salcido picked out De Nigris unmarked at the six-yard box three minutes into the second half and the 181-centimetre striker rose to head the ball past Jamaica goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts.

Mexico's next challenge will be a trip to second-placed Panama, who have five points, while Jamaica will host the USA (four points), who sit fourth.
